Inflation expectations decline in March

In March 2024, estimated inflation expected by households in one year edged down to 11.5% from 11.9% a month earlier, as shown by InFOM’s survey. Inflation expectations decreased among respondents both with and without savings.

In contrast, households’ long-term inflation expectations for the next five years rose again — to 10.0%. The consumer sentiment index continued to grow. Companies’ price expectations decreased, while remaining elevated.
