This is evidence that a new niche has emerged in the financial market. It has been filled by financial and investment platforms engaged in crowdfunding as well as information systems issuing digital financial assets. They give rise to the appearance of alternative investment sources, enhance the financial inclusion for individuals, and promote innovation.

The Bank of Russia has released statistics on platform service operators for the first time.
