Georgiy Luntovskiy dies

Georgiy Luntovskiy, President of the Association of Banks of Russia, died on 10 March at the age of 73 following a long illness.
From 1999 until 2017, Mr Luntovskiy was Deputy Governor, First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia. In this position, he supervised the Bank of Russia’s regional branches and devoted many years to regulating and improving cash circulation in Russia. Mr Luntovskiy dedicated 50 years of his life to the development of the banking and financial sector. He received government awards for his achievements.
