Annual inflation almost unchanged in most regions in January

Annual inflation edged up in about half of Russian regions in January, while slowing down in the others. Strong demand still enables producers to pass through higher costs to prices.
Speaking of food stuffs, dairy products saw the sharpest increase in prices, whereas for non-food goods, the acceleration of price growth was more even.
At the same time, annual growth in services prices slowed down, most notably for foreign tourism services.
