Exports of goods decline, imports recover in 2023

In 2023, exports of goods declined compared to 2022 mainly due to lower global commodity prices. The value of goods exports was close to 2019. In 2023, export quantities were below those in 2021 because of external trade restrictions.
The value of goods imports increased compared to 2022. According to preliminary estimates, it reached the 2021 level owing to a focus on suppliers from alternative regions and the parallel import mechanism.
