Inflation expectations increase

In December 2023, estimated inflation expected by households in one year rose to 14.2% from 12.2% a month earlier, as shown by InFOM’s survey. Inflation expectations increased among respondents both with and without savings.
Five-year-ahead inflation expectations of households also went up to 11.6%. The propensity of respondents to consume declined. Companies’ price expectations were up and stayed close to their highs since April 2022.
