Calculation of information security risk levels: regulator gives recommendations to banks

The relevant Methodological Recommendations set out a uniform approach to defining the target values and calculating the actual values of information security risk control metrics in relation to unauthorised transactions.
In addition to overall risk levels, banks are now recommended to set and calculate their values for certain transaction channels, namely payment cards, accounts, funds transfers in the Faster Payments System, and electronic wallets, as well as funds transfers without opening accounts.
Adherence to the recommendations will help banks enhance information security risk management and mitigation.
