In October 2023, the twelve-month-ahead inflation expectations of households decreased to 11.2%, as shown by InFOM’s survey. The decline in the overall inflation expectations of households chiefly resulted from lower estimates given by savers.
The five-year-ahead inflation expectations of households also decreased to 11.0%. Respondents’ propensity to save was up, while the consumer sentiment index continued to go down. In October, businesses’ price expectations grew again, reaching a fresh high since April 2022.
