Inflation expectations increase

However, long-term inflation expectations of households for three and five years ahead decreased. Meanwhile, the consumer sentiment index (CSI) edged up but remained close to its five-year high. Businesses’ price expectations for the next three months increased to the highest level observed since the beginning of the year.
