Monitoring businesses: business climate estimates become more cautious
The Bank of Russia’s Business Climate Index decreased to 6.2 points in July, although it remained close to the highest levels over the past decade. In most industries, companies reported a decline in their current estimates of production and demand. The positive expectations of businesses for the near future became more restrained compared to June.
Investment activity among companies reached its highest level since 2009. Enterprises expect further growth in investments, although at a more moderate pace.
