Monitoring businesses: Business Climate Index increases as estimates of present situation improve

Companies in the majority of industries improved their current estimates of output and demand. However, compared to May, enterprises became more moderate in their positive expectations for the near future.

Businesses’ price expectations were declining for the second month in a row, while remaining higher than in 2017–2019 when inflation had been close to its target.
