New version of software for XBRL released
The Bank of Russia’s XBRL report editor (Russian: Анкета-редактор XBRL) is now available in a beta version. The software allows non-bank financial institutions to use XBRL taxonomy visualisation table templates to prepare their reporting data in the XBRL format.
Its features include data uploading and saving from external files (Excel, XLSX and CSV templates, XBRL) with subsequent viewing and editing, as well as validation against taxonomy business rules (over 5,000 checks in the final XBRL taxonomy version). Uploaded information can be viewed as regular tables. Thanks to the software reporting can be compiled in the XBRL format and subsequently sent to the Bank of Russia via the user’s account. On the initial startup, the software product will automatically upload the latest XBRL taxonomy version, which is subsequently uploaded at the user’s request.
This December will see a phased evolution of the software product, to reflect the feedback from market participants.
The Bank of Russia has also published upgraded versions of the Converter software (Russian: Конвертер) and the final taxonomy of accounting (financial), supervisory and statistical reporting for insurers, non-governmental pension funds, joint-stock and unit investment funds, professional securities market participants, trade organisers, clearing companies and entities acting as central counterparties.
It is planned that, the XBRL report editor and Converter will be supported until 2021.
