Pension savings insured by government for 2.8 million rubles

The maximum amount of insurance compensation guaranteed for voluntary pension savings has been doubled from 1.4 million to 2.8 million rubles. Insurance compensation will be paid if a non-governmental pension fund (NPF) becomes bankrupt or its licence is cancelled.
This law has been approved by the Federation Council and will become effective on the day of its official publication. The law will increase confidence in the pension system and help attract new customers to NPFs.
The system of guarantees for non-governmental pension schemes was launched on 1 January 2023.
