Households’ inflation expectations continue to decline, while companies’ price expectations increase

In April 2023, households’ inflation expectations for a year ahead returned to the range observed in 2017–2020, when inflation was low. People expect prices to rise by 10.4% during the next 12 months, as shown by InFOM’s survey. Companies raised their price expectations for the next three months.
