Bank of Russia and Russian Journal of Money and Finance invite university students and PhD fellows to submit applications for 2023 Economic Research Competition
The competition accepts working papers and graduation theses written in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
It is essential that at the time of their preparation, the author holds a Bachelor’s degree or is working towards a Master’s degree or a PhD. The competition is open to research carried out in co-authorship provided all co-authors meet this requirement.
Working papers on the following topics can be submitted:
- central banks’ policies;
- inflation;
- financial stability;
- banks;
- data analysis: methods and outcomes.
Papers will be accepted until 15 May 2023, inclusive. The competition results will be announced in
A winner in the competition will be privileged to make a presentation at a special workshop session of the Bank of Russia, the New Economic School and the specialised department of the Bank of Russia at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow in early July 2023. The competition winners will have the chance to join the Bank of Russia Macroeconomic Summer School for students and PhD fellows, which will be held by the Bank of Russia in Moscow in early July 2023. Non-resident participants will be reimbursed for transportation and accommodation costs.
Working papers of the winners will be reviewed for publication in the Russian Journal of Money and Finance on a priority basis.
