Annual inflation slows down in most regions in November
Prices were contained by an expansion of supply and lower costs for food products as well as weak consumer activity.
Annual food price growth was lower in October in all federal districts, mainly due to prices for food of animal origin. This was supported by an increase in the production of meat and dairy and a reduction in producer costs.
In all federal districts, the decline in prices for non-food durables slowed further. The movements of car prices contributed most to this: amid subdued consumer demand, prices adjusted after rising in late 2021 and early 2022.
Annual growth in service prices also slowed in most regions. However, unlike goods, prices for services varied considerably across regions. A particularly wide range was observed in price changes for airline tickets and tours abroad.
