NPFs delivered positive results despite a continued negative dynamics in some equities and a slowing growth in the market of corporate bonds, the main instrument for investing pension savings.
Returns above zero were shown by 27 out of 28 funds engaged in mandatory pension insurance. As for non-governmental pension funds, 37 out of 38 earned positive returns.
Over January—September 2022, NPFs’ weighted average returns equalled 3.4% and 2.7% on pension savings and pension reserves, respectively, with returns of some NPFs exceeding 8% p.a.
