Non-governmental pension funds generate positive returns in 2022 H1

Non-governmental pension funds’ (NPFs) weighted average returns were positive as of the end of the first six months of 2022, totalling 1.7% on pension savings and 1.2% on pension reserves.
After a considerable decline in the first quarter, NPFs generated positive returns, including owing to the rebound in the bond market as NPFs mostly invest funds in bonds. As before, another contributor was the support measure fixing the value of securities.
Over 2022 H1, positive returns were generated by 27 of 28 NPFs engaged in mandatory pension insurance and by 35 of 38 NPFs dealing with non-governmental pension coverage. More details on the situation in the market are available in the analytical material Non-governmental Pension Funds’ Returns.
