June sees cheaper consumer basket than May

Over the month, the average price level lowered owing to a shrink in demand after the March spike, a stronger ruble and one-off factors in the fruit and vegetable market. Sugar, pasta and cereals, domestic appliances and electronics, cars became cheaper.
Prices for most other goods and services continued to rise due to higher costs. On average, in June, the consumer basket was falling in price at the highest monthly rate over the last 20 years.
