Minimum amount of controllable transactions to increase to 1 million rubles

The minimum amount of transactions with funds subject to mandatory control by Rosfinmonitoring will increase from 600,000 to 1 million rubles. Furthermore, the minimum amount of such transactions in real estate deals will be raised from 3 million to 5 million rubles.
Relevant amendments to the anti-money laundering law were approved by the State Duma in the third (final) reading. The Bank of Russia supported these changes as they will help reduce regulatory burden on financial institutions and their clients without compromising the effectiveness of the Russian anti-money laundering system.
