First information and analytical commentary on economics released

Under the series of publications on the current dynamics of macroeconomic fundamentals the Bank of Russia presents the first issue of the information and analytical commentary ‘Economics: Facts, Estimates and Comments (December 2015 — 2016 Q1)’.

The authors provide an analysis of the dynamics of industrial output, consumer activity, unemployment, investment, and GDP. According to estimates, in the first quarter of 2016 the seasonally adjusted GDP will decrease by less than 1%.

The material is published in the sub-section ‘Comments on Current Economic Climate’ of the section ‘Monetary Policy’ of the Bank of Russia’s website.
