Bank of Russia to limit acquiring fees until 31 August
The Bank of Russia has decided to temporarily set the maximum size of acquiring fees for the period from 18 April to 31 August 2022 at 1% for companies that sell socially important goods or provide such services.
These companies include retailers selling food and beverages, consumer and fast-moving goods, fuels, medical products, and pharmaceuticals. In addition, the list includes companies providing communication services, housing and utility services, medical, educational, cultural, tourism, and passenger transportation services.
This measure is introduced for a limited period in order to allow businesses to reorganise their logistics and processes by reducing costs in the current economic conditions. People, in turn, will continue to use the common cashless payment tool.
