Third Meeting of the Russian-Brazilian Working Group on Interbank and Financial Cooperation
On 22 May 2017, Brasilia (Brazil) played host to the third meeting of the Russian-Brazilian Working Group on Interbank and Financial Cooperation. The meeting took place in the run-up to the 10th session of the Russian-Brazilian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
The meeting, chaired by Russia’s and Brazil’s central bank executives, brought together representatives of credit institutions and other financial establishments. The agenda comprised various issues of bilateral banking cooperation, including the prospects for the use of domestic currencies in mutual settlements and the latest trends in banking regulation.
The parties reconfirmed their mutual interest in boosting interbank cooperation and building a long-term partnership.
