Powers of Financial Ombudsman Denis Novak extended

The Bank of Russia Board of Directors1 decided to extend the powers of Denis Novak as the Financial Consumer Ombudsman in Insurance, Microfinance, Credit Cooperation, and Credit Institutions’ Operations from 25 October 2026.
Pursuant to Federal Law No. 123-FZ, dated 4 June 2018, ‘On the Financial Consumer Ombudsman’, a financial ombudsman is appointed by the Bank of Russia Board of Directors, as advised by the Chief Financial Ombudsman, for five years. Denis Novak was first appointed as financial ombudsman on 11 October 2021.
