Bank of Russia issues new investment coins

On 21 August 2026, the Bank of Russia issues the following investment coins ‘Saint George the Victorious’:

– a 100-ruble silver coin (Catalogue No. 5117-0070);

– a 100-ruble gold coin (Catalogue No. 5217-0048);

– a 200-ruble gold coin (Catalogue No. 5219-0033); and

– a 10,000-ruble gold coin (Catalogue No. 5221-0036).

The 100-ruble silver investment coin (fine metal content 1,000.0 g, fineness 999/1,000) has a round shape and is 100.0 mm in diameter. The 100-ruble (fine metal content 15.55 g, fineness 999/1,000), 200-ruble (fine metal content 31.1 g, fineness 999/1,000), and 10,000-ruble (fine metal content 1,000.0 g, fineness 999/1,000) gold investment coins have a round shape and are 30.0 mm, 33.0 mm and 100.0 mm in diameter, respectively.

The obverse and the reverse of the coins have a relief rim around the circumference.

The obverse of the coins features a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation and the inscriptions ‘РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ’ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION), ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA), the denomination of the coins ‘100 РУБЛЕЙ’ (100 RUBLES), ‘200 РУБЛЕЙ’ (200 RUBLES), and ‘10000 РУБЛЕЙ’ (10,000 RUBLES), the year of issue ‘2026 г.’ (2026), the chemical symbol of the metal according to Mendeleev’s Periodic Table of Elements, fineness, the mint trademark, and fine metal content. The obverse of the 100-ruble silver coin and the 10,000-ruble gold coin features the serial number of the coin and the sign ‘№’ (No.).

The reverse of the coins features a relief image of Saint George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a dragon with a spear.

The edge of the coins is corrugated.

The coins are minted in uncirculated quality.

The mintage of:

– the 100-ruble silver coin is up to 0.1 thousand pcs;

– the 100-ruble gold coin is up to 100.0 thousand pcs;

– the 200-ruble gold coin is up to 100.0 thousand pcs; and

– the 10,000-ruble gold coin is up to 0.1 thousand pcs.

The new coins are legal tender of the Russian Federation and are mandatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at their face value.
