Sport again

On 1 September 2025, the Bank of Russia issues 25-ruble cupronickel commemorative coins of the Russian Sports series:

— ‘Dynamo’,

— ‘CSKA’,

— ‘Lokomotiv’,

— ‘Spartak’, and

— ‘Labor Reserves’.

The 25-ruble cupronickel coins have a round shape and are 27.0 mm in diameter.

The obverse and the reverse of the coins have a relief rim around the circumference.

The edge of the coins is corrugated.

The obverse of the coins features a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation, the semicircular inscription above it along the rim ‘РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ’ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) framed with paired diamonds on both sides, the mint trademark on the right, and the inscription ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA), the coin denomination ‘25 РУБЛЕЙ’ (25 RUBLES), and the year of issue ‘2025 г.’ (2025) in three lines in the centre of the coins under the coat of arms.

The reverse of:

— the ‘Dynamo’ coin (Catalogue No. 5015-0073) features a coloured image of the symbols of All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Society Dynamo and the relief inscription ‘ДИНАМО’ (DYNAMO) at the top around the circumference;

— the ‘CSKA’ coin (Catalogue No. 5015-0074) features a coloured image of the symbols of Central Sports Club of the Army;

— the ‘Lokomotiv’ coin (Catalogue No. 5015-0075) features a coloured image of the symbols of Russian Physical Culture and Sports Society Lokomotiv and the relief inscription ‘ЛОКОМОТИВ’ (LOKOMOTIV) at the top around the circumference;

— the ‘Spartak’ coin (Catalogue No. 5015-0076) features a coloured image of the symbols of Russian Physical Culture and Sports Society Spartak and the relief inscription ‘СПАРТАК’ (SPARTAK) at the top around the circumference; and

— the ‘Labor Reserves’ coin (Catalogue No. 5015-0077) features a coloured image of the symbols of All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Society Labor Reserves.

The mintage of the coins is 50,000 pcs each.

The new coins are legal tender of the Russian Federation and are mandatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at their face value.
