Bank of Russia changes publication date of first balance of payments estimate
The regulator has decided to change the date when the monthly estimate of Russia’s Balance of Payments is to be compiled and published on the Bank of Russia website.
The estimate will be published on the 45th calendar day after the end of the reporting period. The reason behind this decision is that a larger data set is required for compiling the monthly estimate of the balance of payments.
The new date is in line with the existing international practice of publishing the monthly external sector statistics and the publication date of the information on Russia’s external trade.
According to the new schedule, the updated estimate of the balance of payments for April 2025 will be published on 16 June 2025 and the first estimate of the balance of payments for May 2025 – on 11 July 2025.
