On publication of monthly data on the Russian Federation`s external trade in services

For the purpose of broadening informational support to users, the Bank of Russia has added monthly data on external trade in services to the list of publications on external sector statistics of the Russian Federation .

The new publication has been developed based on the needs of statistical data users including those connected with implementation of the Russian Federation`s national programs with respect to expanding services’ exports within the framework of provisions of Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated May 7, 2018 No. 204 “On national goals and strategic development objectives of the Russian Federation for the period until 2024”. The publication’s format contains monthly data (starting from January 2017) on exports and imports of key services’ categories. To inform data users of the current situation in the sphere of external trade in services, the publication includes preliminary monthly data for the past and current quarters.

The monthly data on external trade of the Russian Federation in services are posted on the official website of the Bank of Russia in the “Statistics/Macroeconomic Financial Statistics/External Sector Statistics” section under “Foreign Trade in Services” directory and will be updated next day after the release of the estimates of the balance of payments’ key aggregates on the dates set in Official Statistics Release Calendar.
