Obverse

the centre of the disc bears the denomination of the coin ‘10 РУБЛЕЙ’ (10 RUBLES) with pictures of the number ‘10’ and the inscription ‘РУБ’ (RUB) hidden inside the figure ‘0’ and visible alternately when changing the angle of vision, and the mint mark below; the outer ring features the inscription ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA) at the top, the year of issue ‘2024’ at the bottom and stylised images of laurel and oak branches on the left and on the right, respectively, their elements extending onto the disc.

Reverse

a relief image of the coat of arms of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra and the inscriptions divided by points around the circumference ‘РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ’ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) at the top and ‘ХАНТЫ-МАНСИЙСКИЙ АВТОНОМНЫЙ ОКРУГ – ЮГРА’ (KHANTY-MANSI AUTONOMOUS AREA – YUGRA) at the bottom.

The Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra (the KMAA – Yugra) is a constituent territory of the Russian Federation and a part of the Tyumen Region. Approximately 2% of its population are representatives of the indigenous peoples of the North, i.e. the Khanty, the Mansi, and the Nenets, half of whom pursue a traditional way of life.

The KMAA – Yugra is the main oil and gas province of Russia and one of the leading global oil producing regions, which makes it one of the Russian donor regions, demonstrating top performance in oil and gas production, industrial output volume, and electric power generation among other constituent territories of the Russian Federation. Since the beginning of the exploration of the oil and gas province of Western Siberia, over 10 billion tons of oil have been produced in Yugra. Owing to its explored raw hydrocarbon resources, production capabilities, industrial infrastructure, and oil fields commercial viability the autonomous area will remain Russia’s main strategic raw hydrocarbon resource base for the next several decades.
