Obverse

on the disc – the Emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, lower – the semicircular inscription – «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANKOF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots, the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right – the fine metal content. The inscriptionson the ring along the rim: at the top – «СТО РУБЛЕЙ» (ONE HUNDRED RUBLES), at the bottom – the year of issue «2004», the letters the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right – the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.

Reverse

in the centre of the disc – a belfry (built in 1682 –1687), to the left – the Assumption Cathedral (XVIth century), to the right – the Resurrection Church (built in 1670). The inscription at the bottom on the ring along the rim – «РОСТОВ» (ROSTOV).
