Olympic Movement in Russia
Obverse
on the mirror field of the disc - the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation, over it – the semicircular inscription along the rim: "РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ" (THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION), below under the coat of arms in two lines: to the left – indications of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, its purity and the ordinal number sign of the coin № ___, to the right – the indication of the fine metal content and the mint trade mark, on bottom in the centre in two lines – the denomination of the coin: "25000 РУБЛЕЙ" (25000 ROUBLES) and the date: "2014 г." (2014).
Reverse
on the matted field of the disc, on a wide curved stripe – figures of sportsmen, above – representing winters sports: skeleton, snowboard, ice hockey, figure skating, speed skiing and ski jumping, below against the background of Moscow athletic facilities – summer sports: gymnastics, running, wrestling, weightlifting and cycling. Above at the rim – the depiction of mountains, to the left – of the panorama of the Moscow Kremlin and the emblem of the XXII Olympic Games of 1980 in Moscow, below – six lines, upper ends of which make the number "XXII", in the middle part of the disc to the right in two lines – the inscription: "СОЧИ" (SOCHI) and the date: "2014", under them – five Olympic rings.
