in the frame of the vegetable ornament - the architectural ensemble of a monastery, in the centre - the Savior's Transfiguration Cathedral, in the front of it, in a vignette - a detachment of ancient warriors, a chronicler, and two flying birds, inscriptions - on top: "СПАСО-ПРЕОБРАЖЕНСКИЙ МОНАСТЫРЬ" (THE SAVIOR'S TRANSFIGURATION CATHEDRAL), on bottom: "ЯРОСЛАВЛЬ" (YAROSLAVL).

The architectural ensemble of the Savior's Transfiguration Monastery (the XVIth c) includes the Savior's Transfiguration Cathedral, the Church of the Yaroslavl Wonder-Workers, the Refectory, Prior's Chamber, the Belfry, the Sacristy, the building of monastic cells, towers and stone wall. In 1612 the people's volunteer corps under Minin and Pozharsky set out from its walls to liberate Moscow. In the 1790s, the manuscript of the ancient Russian poem "The Tale of Igor's Campaign" was found in the monastery's library.
