to the right, on a mirror section of the disc – relief head-portraits of a young man in a hard hat and a girl against the background of mountains, to the left below, on a matted section of the disc – the inscription in four lines: "40 ЛЕТИЕ НАЧАЛА СТРОИТЕЛЬСТВА БАМ" (THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE START OF CONSTRUCTION BAML).
