Obverse

on the mirror field of the disc – the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation, over it – the semicircular inscription along the rim: "РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ" (THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION), framed on both sides by doubled rhombuses, below under the coat of arms in two lines: to the left – the indications of the metal, its purity and the ordinal number sign of the coin № ___, to the right – the fine metal content and the mint trade mark, at the bottom in the centre, in three lines – the inscription: "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA), the denomination of the coin: "200 РУБЛЕЙ" (200 RUBLES), the year of issue: "2016 г." (2016).

Reverse

on the mirror field of the disc – the relief image of the architectural ensemble of the monastery (the view from the side of the Big Novodevichy pond), above it – the image of "The Siege of Smolensk" gravure, at the bottom in the center – a vegetable ornament, along the rim – the inscription: "НОВОДЕВИЧИЙ МОНАСТЫРЬ В МОСКВЕ" (NOVODEVICHY CONVENT IN MOSCOW).
