Obverse

(2014), to the right – the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.

Reverse

in the centre, on the mirror field of the disc – a scene of laying by four workers a section of railway track from the track plotter, to the left below – the date "1974", on the bottom, on a matted sector of the disc – a scheme of the Baikal-Amur Main Line with the abbreviation "БАМ" (BAML), underscored from below by the inscription along the rim: "НАЧАЛО СТРОИТЕЛЬСТВА" (START OF CONSTRUCTION).
