The Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) is a key international platform for advancing the economy of the Far East and expanding cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. The forum helps strengthen Russia’s position in the region’s economic landscape and attract investment in projects implemented in the Far Eastern territories. The EEF brings together representatives of the government, business community, and civil society to work on the issues of economic development of the Far East. The forum’s partners include leading Russian and foreign companies, public authorities, research and educational institutions.

The EEF has been held in Vladivostok annually since 2015. Between 2015 and 2024, 2,480 agreements were signed at the forum, primarily focusing on infrastructure construction, advancement of the energy and mining and quarrying sectors as well as transport and logistics networks, and social and economic development of Russian regions.

In 2025, the forum’s theme is ‘The Far East: Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity’. The event will take place at the Far Eastern Federal University campus on Russky Island (Ajax Bay, Vladivostok) on 3–6 September 2025. The island is located in the waters of the Primorye Territory and connected to mainland Russia via a modern bridge.
