Obverse

in the centreof the disc, in the circle of dots – the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it – the semicircular inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA)], inscriptions along the rim, above – the denomination: "ТРИ РУБЛЯ" (THREE RUBLES), below: to the left – indications of the precious metal and its fineness, in the centre – the year of issue "2013 г." (2013), to the right – the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.

Reverse

in the upper part of the disc – the relief image of a mighty tree, a worker with a spade to the left and a little house to the right of the tree, in the lower part of the disc, in the mirror reflection – their appearance as if having been changed under the anthropogenic impact on the environment, accordingly: the water-cooling tower of the power station, a man in the protecting clothes and the gas-mask on and a technological construction, above along the rim – the inscription: "2013 ГОД ОХРАНЫ ОКРУЖАЮЩЕЙ СРЕДЫ В РОССИИ" (2013 THE YEAR OF PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT IN RUSSIA).
