Obverse

in the centre – the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it – the semicircular inscription «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim - on top: «ТРИ РУБЛЯ» (THREE RUBLES), below: to the left – indications of the precious metal and its fineness, in the centre – the year of issue «2007 г.» (2007), to the right – the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.

Reverse

the image of the front of the Kazan Railway Station, lower – the date «1864»; the inscriptions along the rim: on top – «КАЗАНСКИЙ ВОКЗАЛ» (THE KAZAN RAILWAY STATION), below – «МОСКВА» (MOSCOW).

Built in 1862 - 1864. The erection of the modern building of the Kazan Railway Station began in 1913 (designed by the architect A.V. Schusev) and ended in 1940. The building has distinctive features of the Moscow and Kazan architecture styles of the XVIIth century.
