100th Anniversary of the Birth of O.K. Antonov
Obverse
in the centre – the Emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, lower – the semicircular inscription – «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top – «ДВА РУБЛЯ» (TWO RUBLES), at the bottom – the year of issue «2006», the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right – the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
to the left – a portrait of O.K. Antonov, to the right – the dates on the matted stripe «1906-1984», at the top – three airplanes. The inscription at the bottom: «АНТОНОВ» (ANTONOV).

Oleg Konstantinovich Antonov (1906-1984) – Russian aircraft constructor who headed since 1946 the Experimental Aircraft Designer’s Office. Several airplanes including the AN-124 (Ruslan) were designed under the guidance of him.
