Obverse
a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation, above it along the rim the inscription in a semicircle ‘РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ’ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) framed with paired diamonds on both sides, under the coat of arms are the chemical symbol and fineness of the metal on the left and fine metal content and the mint mark on the right, at the bottom centre in three lines are the inscription ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA), the coin denomination ‘1 РУБЛЬ’ (1 RUBLE), and the year of issue ‘2024 г.’ (2024).
Reverse
a relief emblem of the sports society Spartak and the relief inscription ‘СПАРТАК’ (SPARTAK) around the upper circumference.

At the beginning of 1935, authorities decided to create a physical culture society uniting athletes – industrial workers. The All-Union Voluntary Sports Society Spartak was established on 19 April 1935. The main objectives of the Spartak society members was not only to train athletes, but also to promote healthy lifestyle among workers and their family members, as well as schoolchildren and students.
On 22 July 1937, the USSR Central Executive Committee awarded the Order of Lenin to the Spartak society for its outstanding achievements in promoting physical culture and sports among people.
Over 700 athletes of the Red-and-Whites have become winners and medallists of the Olympic Games, World and European Championships, and other major international competitions. Spartak athletes and coaches have been honoured with state awards for their high sports results.
