a relief image of the Infauna electronic warfare system against the background of the night sky and a forest, laser-treated for matte finishing; around the upper circumference, there is a relief inscription ‘ВОЙСКА РАДИОЭЛЕКТРОННОЙ БОРЬБЫ’ (ELECTRONIC WARFARE TROOPS).

The mission of electronic warfare units is to neutralise the enemy’s radio electronic equipment and systems that the enemy employs to control its troops and weapons, air forces and air defence. Another responsibility of these military units is to monitor the effectiveness of measures being taken for electronic defence and security of own troops and equipment.
