The peregrine falcon is widespread in the tundra, forest-tundra and forest zone of European Russia, western, middle and eastern Siberia, the Far East, Kamchatka and Sakhalin. It is protected in many preserves, including the Oksky preserve with its peregrine falcon nursery.
