Mikhail Nikolayevich Loginov (1903–1940) was a Soviet artillery designer, known for developing the 45-millimetre anti-tank gun model 1937. The gun was deployed in 1938.
Loginov’s 1937 creation served as the Soviet army’s main anti-tank weapon during the first stage of the Great Patriotic War. Easy to manoeuvre and camouflage, and having a sufficient (for the beginning of the war, at least) armour penetration capacity, this gun was successfully used to destroy enemy tanks and all types of armoured vehicles, thus posing a significant threat to the enemy.
