in the center — the Emblem of the Bank of Russia (the two headed eagle designed by I.Bilibin), above it — the semicircular inscription — «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA) lower — the denomination «ОДИН РУБЛЬ»(ONE RUBLE) stressed by horizontal line, which is divided with a dot in the middle, at the bottom — «1999», to the right — the mint trade mark.
Reverse
the self portrait of A.S.Pushkin in profile, under it in four lines — the facsimile signature «АЛЕКСАНДР ПУШКИН» (ALEXANDR PUSHKIN) and the dates «1799» «1837».
