Number of opened escrow accounts in shared-equity construction in January exceeded 51,000
In January 2020, the main indicators of project financing for shared-equity housing construction continued to increase, according to the results of a survey of authorised banks in which the settlement accounts of developers and escrow accounts for settlements under contracts for participation in shared-equity construction can be opened. Since the beginning of the year, the number and amount of loans issued, the number of escrow accounts and the amount of funds placed in them have increased.
The number of escrows in January increased by 16 percent and exceeded 51,000. The amount of funds placed by share-equity construction participants in escrow accounts increased to 177 billion rubles (an increase of almost 20 percent).
Banks signed 826 loan agreements with developers worth over 958 billion rubles. The current debt on loans is almost 305 billion rubles.
In 38 regions, 71 projects have already been completed, over 3,000 escrow accounts have been opened, and the amount of funds transferred from them to developers and banks to repay loans has exceeded 7 billion rubles.
