Bank of Russia to raise coefficients for transactions involving central counterparty from April
From April 2024, the Bank of Russia will raise coefficients for transactions involving the central counterparty applied to calculate the amount of credit institutions’ required reserves:1
by 0.05 to 0.25 — in relation to liabilities in Russian rubles;
by 0.02 to 0.07 — in relation to liabilities in the currencies of unfriendly countries; and
by 0.2 to 0.4 — in relation to liabilities in the currencies of other countries.
The coefficients are to be raised owing to an increase in the proportion of reservable liabilities to non-bank institutions under transactions involving the central counterparty in the total amount of such transactions.
The new coefficients are to be first applied to credit institutions’ required reserve amounts for April 2024.
