Bank of Russia updates its website

Changes were made to the website design. All services and subsystems are functioning as before.

The new structure was developed based on the analysis of user behaviour, conclusions and recommendations made by focus-groups that tested navigation and design solutions.

The website now features user-friendly navigation with each area of the megaregulator's activity in a separate section. All sections are arranged in accordance with a uniform information presentation standard. Explanatory materials are presented in understandable terms, accompanied by infographics and links to useful articles and videos for financial consumers.

The website design is now fully adaptive and equally easy-to-use on both desktop and mobile devices. The design framework complies with modern standards of information presentation for visually impaired people.

‘Every day the Bank of Russia publishes on its website a large number of materials that differ in genre and format: official documents, statistics, analytics and research, current comments, responses to questions of market participants and individuals, and so on. It is no doubt that, for the most part, our users are financial market professionals and experts; however, our website is also useful for common people that are consumers of financial services. We are changing because we want everyone to be able to understand us’, said Marina Ryklina, Director of the Public Relations Department of the Bank of Russia, commenting on the launch of the new website.

The old version of the website can be accessed at old.cbr.ru; it will be updated until 18:00 27 March 2020, after which it will remain available in archive. The main version of the website is located at www.cbr.ru and must be considered official.
