Bank of Russia holds third Eurasian Roundtable during IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings
The event took place in Bangkok, Thailand. It was attended by leaders of central banks, financial regulators, and the ministries of finance of the Eurasian region and partner states, as well as the World Bank and the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD).
The meeting participants assessed the impact of central bank digital currencies and stablecoins on monetary policy and discussed the role of big tech companies and ecosystems in the economic development of countries in the region. The EFSD presented an updated report on the regional labour market, following up on the topic addressed at the second Eurasian Roundtable.
The first Eurasian Roundtable was held in 2025 during the Annual IMF–World Bank Group Meetings. Such events receive support from representatives of financial regulators, while their agenda and the number of participants keep expanding.
