(2010), loweг in а semicircle - images of national symbols used in the decoration of banknotes and coins since the foundation of the State Bank of Russia - varieties of Small National Coat of Arms of the Russian Empire, the Emblem of the Tempoгary Government, the National Coat of Arms of the RSFSR, and varieties of National Coat of Arms of the USSR, under them below - indications, to the left - of the precious metal, its fineness and the mint trade mark, to the right - the fine metal content and the ordinal number sign of the coin №__, along the rim - а concentric line with four decorative elements.

In the centre - the building of the Main Administrative Office of the State Bank in Saint Petersburg in 1860-1918 with two griffins and fragments of the Banking Bridge in front of it, above in the oval medallions - portraits: in the centre - of Alexander II, to the right - of Stiegliz A.L., to the left - of La-mansky E.I; on bottom - inscription in three lines: "БАНК РОССИИ ОС-НОВАН В 1860 г." (BANK OF RUSSIA FOUNDED IN 1860).

The State Bank of Russia was founded upon Ukase of the Imperator Alexander II in 1860. The first Governor of the State Bank in 1860-1866 was the famous banker and busi-nessman Alexander Ludvigovich Stiegliz. The author of idea of reforming the Russian banking system was Evgeniy Ivanovich Lamanskiy who had prepared the proposal on establishing the State Bank, set up the draft of its Charter and till 1881 managed the activity of the bank holding posts initially of the Deputy Governor and since 1866 - of the Governor of the State Bank.
