Obverse
in the centre - the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it - the semicircular inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim - on top: "ПЯТЬДЕСЯТ РУБЛЕЙ" (FIFTY RUBLES), below: to the left - indications of the precious metal and its fineness, in the centre - the year of issue "2010 г." (2010), to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
in the centre - the image of the Church of Saint John the Precursor, to the right - a bell tower, on top - inscription: "ЦЕРКОВЬ ИОАННА ПРЕДТЕЧИ" (THE CHURCH OF SAINT JOHN THE PRECURSOR), on bottom - inscription: "ЯРОСЛАВЛЬ" (YAROSLAVL).

The Church of Saint John the Precursor is the peak of the Yaroslavl building art of the XVIIth century. The grandiose in dimensions 15-couples church is luxuriously decorated with tiles and brisk patterns. The frescos of the church are a real encyclopaedia of the Bible topics.
